A vector represents the movement of an object. They are stored as a matrix with one of the dimensions equaling 1.
Vectors can be entered several ways:
|Rectangular||multiple elements each indicating movement in ortangonal directions. Can be any number of dimensions|
|Polar||total distance and an angle. Only two dimensions.|
|Cylindrical||total distance and an angle for the x and y plane, then a rectangular value for the z dimension. Only three dimensions.|
|Spherical||total distance, then an angle against the z-axis and the x axis. Only three dimensions.|
